Lincoln Cultural Center, Kankakee, Illinois
Berlin-based American Gaines Hall Jr, a star of the European stage, appears sixty miles south of Chicago to present a one-time-only one-man show of numbers from Broadway and the Great American Songbook.
Gaines will sing, tap, show-dance, and between numbers relate stories about the shows and songs and his twenty-year career performing them.
Following the presentation, audience members may join Gaines at a VIP reception. Those selecting this option will enjoy reserved-section seating at the show, plus an intimate catered gathering with the star in an architectural landmark: Frank Lloyd Wright's B. Harley Bradley House.
The event is a benefit for Wright In Kankakee, the nonprofit organization which owns the Bradley House and is making it available to the public. The Bradley was restored by Gaines's architect father.
