Where? Soldier Field, US Cellular Field
The day after officials extinguish the 2012 Olympic flame in London this summer, the spirit of competitive sports ignites in Chicago.
World Sport Chicago hosts the second annual Valor Games Midwest, a three-day paralympic event for wounded, ill or injured service members and veterans, on Aug. 13-15.
World Sport Chicago invites all to this event, which begins at Soldier Field and is the only competition of its kind in the Midwest.

Location: Soldier Field, 1410 South Museum Campus Dr.
Time: 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Events: Opening ceremony, field events

Location: U.S. Cellular Field parking lot and left field, 333 W. 35th St.
Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Events: Cycling (upright bicycles, recumbent bikes, handcycles and tandem bikes) and archery (left field)
Aug. 15:
Location: Armour Square Park, 3309 S. Shields Ave. (Chicago Park District, between 33rd St. & 34th St.)
Time: 9 a.m. – noon
Events: Powerlifting and indoor rowing
