Legendary Chicago disc jockey Dick Biondi will bring old-fashioned grooves to this year’s Taste of Chicago – the nation’s largest food festival – as Humana and WLS-FM present the “Biondi Boomer Bash” at the Humana Dining Pavilion.
Studies show that dancing can positively impact people’s health as they age, leading to improved balance, strengthened bones and muscles, increased stamina and decreased risk of diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. Therefore, boomers and Taste-goers of all ages are invited to tear up the dance floor to music from the ‘50s and ‘60s.
The first 500 visitors at the free sock-hop will receive a Biondi Boomer Bash T-shirt and station merchandise. Participants can also pick up health and wellness information and enjoy a variety of activities provided by Humana. The Biondi Boomer Bash will be part of WLS-FM’s live broadcast from the Humana Dining Pavilion, which begins at 10 a.m.
