DCA Storefront Theater 66 E. Randolph St.
InFusion Theatre Company, in association with DCA Theater, presents the world premiere of Randall Colburn’s The Improv Play, directed by the Company’s Artistic Director Mitch Golob, April 10 – May 20, 2012, at the DCA Storefront Theater, 66 East Randolph Street.
The Improv Play follows three aspiring improvisers as they seek success and validation on Chicago’s comedy stages after a fellow troupe member leaves for New York to work on “Saturday Night Live.” Incorporating improvisation, stand-up and sketch comedy with scripted material to create a raucous, cutting and honest exploration of performance, talent and ambition, The Improv Play shines a light on the thousands of performers filling out the fringe of the comedy scene.
Preview performances are Tuesday, April 10 and Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m. and the opening night performance is Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m. Performances throughout the production’s run are Thursdays – Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for students and seniors (Preview tickets are $10.) and may be purchased by calling 312.742.TIXS (8497) or visiting infusiontheatre.com or dcatheater.org.
