Cuddlebuddy
When the sun comes out, the claws come out. Everyone takes off their shirt and we all get a little promiscuous, perhaps a little wild. But now that it's cold out there may be an old friend -or an ex- looking for a cuddlebuddy.

When these guys took off, what did they leave behind? Consider this for awhile, it could tell you a lot about why they did what they did. Just because it's the holidays and we're all cheery, don't feel like you need to sugarcoat everything. If they come calling, take what they say with a grain of salt. Don't accept any gifts, but DO accept the things back that they've been waiting to return to you. A good time is not one of those things, ladies. An apology is the best thing for both of you, so put your holiday happiness to good use and own up to the mistakes you've made this year. I think Ex's can be friends. Great friends! ...If you're both honest about where you stand.

RECAP:
1. don't ignore your ex, they won't go away
2. accept an apology, not a gift
3. be honest about where you stand on your issues

This is the season of giving and forgiveness, put your claws away!

Whip It
One piece of advice: If you aren't an experienced dancer, do not try to "whip your hair back and forth" no matter how cool you think Willow Smith is. Your neck will be very sore the next day. And for all I know, perhaps the day after that.

However, if you are an experienced dancer - you might try to come up with something a little more inventive. We can't let kids show us what to do and you know that won't be happenin' in the club. Please, for my sake and yours, give me something else to work with.

Holidays
I've been wearing my onsie around ever since it got cold, firstly because it's warm and i can slip clothes on and off over it. Secondly, because it's so darn comfy and snuggly!

So today me and some friends had our "family" christmas dinner before we all take our finals and head home for the holidays, and after my friends Amber and Emily told us they were going to Target before we met up to bake cookies. Little did I know... They were getting onsies too!!! I think it's totally adorable and I'm so happy that the rest of the gang is joining in. American Apparel has been selling a version more like mine online all this season, and with target's entry into this niche market I feel completely at ease declaring the Onesie this winter's best fashion :) ...Around the house, of course.

Can anyone see the cheesy family photo that'll come of this? ;)

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This week has absolutely flown by for me, and given me a lot to be thankful for.

I didn't go back west for the holiday, instead I stayed here to get some work done and celebrate it in grand Chicago style. I did manage to Skype with family back home, which made my day special :) And it cut down on the usual hors d'oeuvres-chatting and meandering around the kitchen. Not that I don't love old war stories and hearing about my little cousin's new doll, but you know sometimes it's nice to sleep in and watch TV until 5 in the evening... Hehehe.

I did eat turkey though! I got all dressed up and went to the Peninsula with some close friends for their Thanksgiving day buffet complete with fabulous drinks and desserts. That was really delicious, but I highly recommend the "traditional" Turkey instead of the organic one... I don't really pay attention to what's healthier, I just know that the organic one was dry :/

I'm thankful to have the love and support of friends who will take me out to such a great dinner when I'm so far from home. And I'm thankful for the friends who sent me their best wishes when they couldn't be with me that day. I'm thankful for my health and my safety; I couldn't ask for more from my new city.

Anyone visit the holiday setup on the Daley Plaza? Yawn. They have a great Santa though, I guess I just wasn't looking for so many handmade ornaments and german food specialities. The tree was a lot smaller than it looked on TV :( Clearly making us the 2nd city, nothing like NYC. But it's still great to get out and experience all the hubub of downtown. You can really feel the spirit of the holidays amongst all the shopping bags and decorations. I did eek out a Black Friday deal while sightseeing at Macy's... I snagged Kenneth Cole Leather Hi-top Shoes (valued at $110+tax) for only $26.50!!! Amazing bargaining on my part if I dare say so, they tried to tell me the 50% off sign was applied to the original price and I asked for it to be taken off the clearance price marked on the shoe. Yeah, I know - genius.

Secret: Macy's will do practically anything to get you to buy stuff from them this time of year so long as there's some sort of logic to what you're asking for. Nothing is set in stone from now until christmas.

Take cover!
There was rain.
There were flash flood warnings.
There was a weirdo with her umbrella open inside today... Isn't that bad luck? Not to mention, for someone so concerned about getting wet she certainly isn't concerned about the germs attacking her feet.

I say, take cover! No seriously, put shoes on. Ew :/

If you haven't caught up with your friends and family, this pre-holiday rainy week is a good time to sit by the window with your tea and make those calls. Or go make a Noman. Throw a noball at your noangels out in the front yard.

...Wishing the rain were snow... I hear that my hometown got some inches yesterday and today :'( Come on Chicago! I dare you.
