A transgender woman has been found apparently murdered in West Garfield Park, Chicago, according to the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs. Police did not identify the victim, who was found in an alley on the 4500 block of West Jackson on Monday at 3:52 a.m. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office could not immediately confirm the identity of the victim but a spokesperson there said there are no "unknown" cases currently within the office.
