A Taste of Candi Stratton

Chicago's ownCandi Stratton practically went overnight from being a well known drag queen to an airline flight attendant after her sex change surgery. After a long career in air, she fell in love and later married an Australian man and moved to the land down under.
From Australia, it's just a short hop to Bangkok, Thailand where Candi got a regular gig working at the Bed Supper Club. Funny thing about the Bed Supper Club is that people would actually sit on beds to watch her dazzling Cher impersonations. While living in the Thai capital, she worked six days a week as a liaison for Westerners seeking sex changes at a Thai hospital.
Candi, along with a partner, runs a wonderful website specializing in glittery garments called Sequin Queen. Even if lavish, beaded costumes isn't your thing, it's still fun to browse around and look at all these elaborate gowns made in cruelty-free Thai garment shops.

I'm sure other interviews with Candi are fabulous, but, each interview is unique because of the chemistry between people conducting the interview and the subject.

Halloween is the perfect holiday for slobs. All those unraked leaves, cobwebs and dead animals rotting in your front yard almost look normal.
Even though you dress like a bum everyone now everybody thinks you're just trying out your costume a couple of days early.
On Halloween, strange is the new black.
What are you dressing up for Halloween? We're going as panda's with fangs! On today's Feast of Fools, Gigi Deluxe, our favorite devilish vixen, artist and mom shares with us her secrets on dressing up and having a fabulous Halloween.
Gigi looks like she's about to kick Elivra or Tura Santana's butt in her new black and velvety smooth wig. For our local mistress of the dark, every day is Halloween. Gigi is a real-life Morticia Adams. She even dresses up her own kids in such great costumes the other kids run away in terror.
You can pretty much break down every Halloween costume into either the zombie, vampire and drag queen categories.
What to be, what to be? Why not pick all three?

On today's show we've got the very funny Deven Green, YouTube Comedy sensation, known for her videos as "Brenda Dickson - Welcome to my Home" and Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian.
Hailing from the great white north, Deven Green was a runway model, a competitive ice skater and the first female voice for the Canadian movie phone.
Her husband, Joel Bryant, sent Deven the camp sensation, Brenda Dickson's condescending 1980s "Welcome to My Home" video which has become a Youtube sensation. Devin recognized the parody gold waiting to be mined in the video and her lampoon soon became very popular on Youtube.
The spoof gained her a lot of attention and she's received a copyright infringement notice from Brenda's lawyers.
Deven also works another wonderful character, Betty Bowers, America's Best Christian. Betty lays it out on why she truly is deserving of God's gifts and why you are not.
