Clay Aiken gay? You bet! And that's okay.
The red-headed pop singer, best known as the second runner up in the second season of the TV singing competition American Idol came out of the closet as a gay man and is on the front cover of People magazine with his newborn son.
Aiken says that he "cannot raise a child to lie or hide things." Which probably is a dig at his estranged father, Vernon Grissom.
Still many of the conservative straight women who make up part of his fan base are eerily silent about the news. If you check out fansites, hardly anyone is talking about the much anticipated revelation. Will coming out cost Clay Aiken his music career? Will his fans jsut out and out abandon him? Time will tell.
We think it's great and want everyone who listens to the Feast of Fools to show their solidarity by buying at least ONE of Clay's songs on the iTunes music store. Show your financial support folks. I recommend "Solitaire," the song that made him a star on American Idol, while Marc suggests "Mary Did Ya Know" from his Christmas Album, for obvious reasons.
We've got two men to weigh in on the news- gay hip pop rapper Johnny Dangerous, talking about the costs of being open, embracing controversy and why dirty is the new black.
Plus we've got Clay Aiken's ex- military man John Paulus who exploded into the national scene when he came forward with his tell all story and DNA evidence.
We chatted with John in August 2006 about his sexual encounter with Clay. So does John feels vindicated? Has Clay said anything to him?
If you haven't heard Victoria Lamarr and Marc recreate their intimate adventure, check it out as they do Quarter Turns for everyone!
A hateful bumper sticker causes controversy in Australia- does hate speech have free speech rights?
Steven Spielberg matches Brad Pitts contributions to protect gay marriage in California and CNN walks out on Sarah Palin because the fundamentalist Vice Presidential candidate wont allow herself to be interviewed.
It's not okay to love the Feast of Fools, it's FABULOUS!

Today's show is hot hot hot! We've got two intense performers, internet sensation Chris Crocker and drag war drag queen Regina Upbright.
Chris Crocker's back with a hot new single- Mind in the Gutter- and it's on top of the charts.
Click here to get it now on iTunes for 99 cents.
Join us as Chris talks about why he left YouTube, will he ever come back, the inspiration for launching his music career and which videos never made online- what was on those videos?
Chris also tells us about a certain model ex-boyfriend who he recently broke up with.
Regina definitely ended up a causality after her last appearance on the Feast as Fools in an episode we now lovingly call the drag queen wars. You can read the comments yourself about the public's and her fellow drag queen's reaction to the show. Let's just say, it wasn't kind.
It's hard to keep a good bitch down and Regina is back to tell about the subsequent fallout over her words about a queen who did or didn't "know her words."

We also chat about what local drag queen looks like Jocelyn Wildenstein and the horrors of plastic surgery. Just how did this wealthy New York City woman get any doctor to allow her to look so bizzare? How much is too much? Would you get it done? And if so, what? We want to know!
Say hello to Haunea- the penis shaped planetoid named after the Hawaiian god of fertility. It is one of five know planetoids and has two satellites "Hi'iaka" in honour of Hawaii's patron goddess and "Namaka" a water spirit.
Nepal grants legal rights to lesbians, gay men and trans people. Bishnu Adhikari, 21, became the first person to receive a "third gender" classification on a legal document.
The musical highway gets paved into silence. A section of a California highway had grooves cut into the road surface to play the William Tell Overture which is alos the theme to the Lone Ranger. neighbors complained that it was noisy and sounded awful.

Many of the world's religions often stand in the way in the advancement for gay rights. As churches struggle to reconcile with modern times, they often scapegoat their own queer members in order to retain influence and power.
Because of this, a lot of people feel animosity to the religions they grew up with and as adults reject it wholeheartedly.
On today's show we're talking to two men who are taking a fresh perspective on the core ideas behind religion- who are we, where we are going and why do terrible things happen? Ultimately, what is the meaning of my life?
We've got Mark Anthony Lord- the spiritual director for the Chicago Center for Spiritual Living and Jeff Stahl, a licensed therapist who counsels people in moments of terrible grief.
Listen as we talk about finding a time and space to quiet the mind, the nature of addiction- why do we seek out things to destroy ourselves and how to take concrete steps to embrace a deeper understanding of your own life.
Mark has a free daily gay affirmation that looks very promising on his site. For some more inspiration checkout these fun video daily drag queen affirmations. It will cost you $20 a year but they do have some free samples. Thanks Fred for the link and yes, I am thoroughly enjoying them!

Get your fetish gear ready folks! Whip it up. Whooo. On today's Feast of Fools we've got Demetri Moshoyannis, he's the sexy executive director for the Folsom Street Fair, one of the largest spectator events in California.
As one of the few occasions when sadomasochistic activities are encouraged and performed in public, it attracts a considerable number of sightseers and those who enjoy the attention of onlookers as well as the hundreds of photographers and videographers.
Folsom Street Fair is part of San Francisco's Leather week, taking place on Sunday Sept 28 in San Francisco!
Demetri talks about the how the fair went from being a neighborhood gathering to a full on freak festival and the controversy over their 2007 poster, a queer take on DaVinci's famous "Last Supper" painting.
Fundamentalist groups called the poster an offensive take on a religious image, but why did they ignore the Simpsons', Battle Star Gallatica's and all the other pop icon takes on the same painting?
From time to time we take phone calls from you, our listeners. We want you to think of us as your Magic Eight Ball and ask for advice, or just to tell us what is most important to you. Our advice may not be the most sound so wer also asking our listener to weigh in on whether we are right or are we wrong? So, please let us know in the comments section.
Get out of the sun! Scientists say suntans are unsafe at any level. The same mechanism that tells a cell to get tan destroys DNA which is the first step in mutation that may lead to cancer. You've heard it for years but we really hope you are using sunscreen. But, on the other hand maybe the British scientists who conducted the study are just trying to justify their pale complexions.
Daniel Radcliffe's naked American debut in Eqqus. Paul gives all the details about young Daniel's manscaping techniques and whether he was really into his love scenes with his female costar or not. We had no idea that Daniel's character rides bareback on a hot male actor portraying a horse. Yippee Yee ha! Giddy up and go!

Halloween's Hot this year! It lands on a Friday and it's five days before the national presidential elections. Will Sarah Palin clones outshine John McCain's Borg Queen wife as a popular halloween costume? Which is scarier?
Sarah Palin thought Tina Fey did an impeccable parody of her on Saturday Night Live and her spokesperson said "She thought it was quite funny, particularly because she once dressed up as Tina Fey for Halloween.” Oh snap! I'm sure Sarah thought she had the scariest Halloween costume- an intelligent, successful, progressive woman.
Brad Pit Donates a hundred thousand dollars to protect gay marriage in California, but it's still not enough to match opposing forces. Those in favor of the ban on gay marriage have raised quite a bit of money. You can even track where the money is coming from. Who would have thought that Palm Springs, a gay mecca, would give so much money?
Have you seen British Football Hunk Frank Lambard's terrible makeup job? I know he wanted to look good but couldn't someone take him to the MAC counter for some make up advice? He looks like a big old pumpkin face! Get the right color and blend baby, blend. Seeing photos like this make me both love and hate paparazzi.
Join us as we talk about Peru's ancient sexy Kama Sutra pottery, lusty screaming elks, the controversy over Miller Beer and Coors merger with gay bar owners and their potentially harmful alcohol infused energy drink is being challenge by 25 states including Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.
A fresh burst of flavor in every byte- Feast of Fools.
