This year I am serving on the Host Committee for World of Chocolate and would like to invite you to join me on Wednesday December 3, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. when the AIDS Foundation of Chicago opens the doors of the International Ballroom at the Hilton Chicago for you to indulge in a plethora of decadent chocolate creations prepared by 30 of Chicago’s top restaurants, hotels, caterers, and chocolatiers.

He also was awarded the James Beard Award Winning Chef, has been a Judge, Iron Chef, TV Food Network. Art is also a former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey. Art is the Owner to Table 27 here in Chicago and is the Owner to Art & Soul located in Washington , DC .

Dear Friends and Family,
This may come as a surprise to many of you, but I will be participating in the CHICAGO Marathon this October 7, 2007! That’s right, 26.2 miles! During this six-month training program, I am running a little further each week…I expect to log nearly 500 miles. It’s all part of the National AIDS Marathon Training Program, which raises money for the AIDS Foundation of Chicago to fund essential services for people in the Chicagoland area living with and at risk for HIV/AIDS.

Despite recent advances in the treatment of AIDS, the epidemic is far from over. More than one million Americans, and 40 million others around the world, are now living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. And the number of people living with AIDS in Chicagoland has jumped by more than 400% in the last decade.
The money raised through the program will allow the AIDS Foundation of Chicago to fund direct medical care, food, housing, and other important AIDS services -- to help keep people alive until there’s a cure. This is why I am committed to raise at least $1,400 before July 6th, although I would like to raise even more. I’m asking for your support. Any donation you can make to help me meet my goal would be most appreciated! It’s so easy to make a donation, just click on the link below. It only takes a few moments to make a contribution that could enhance the life of someone living with HIV/AIDS.

This is certainly the most challenging task I have ever attempted in my life, but I am confident that with your help I can make it to the finish line.
