I'm NOT Your MAMA....sort of...

I am seriously having a hard time doing anything this week. It was only a week that Mark and I were gone, but it seems like I missed a ton. Cole has been sick on and off since we arrived and I am most certain it’s because his teeth are growing out. Aside from his fever, it seems all I hear during the day is his moaning and cry, and after a while it kind of gets you down. And, when Cole is not doing that, he is busy trying to pull himself up to anything that is taller than him. I have to keep a constant eye on that little misfit.

I guess things could be worse. Thank the Lord that Parker requires minimal attention.

I think the biggest thing that we are noticing is that Cole, who obviously not only likes to get around, also wants to speak. Surprisingly, his first words are “Mama”…and I guess that would be me. However, that is not what we have been practicing. Try “Papa” or “Dada.” None-the-less, they do say that “mama” is a much harder word to say than “papa.” So maybe I am doing something right.

I wish I could say something about Parker, but he is a pretty consistent chilled-out little guy. He is teething, but not complaining. He LOVES to sleep. He is now crawling, but would rather stand than sit.

Last, Cole is going through some major separation anxiety. Bedtime is the worst because he just cries and cries and cries not wanting to be alone in his bed. I think the little guy is breaking me down because he now only likes to fall asleep on my chest for hours on end. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great feeling, but after a while you need a rest. Unfortunately, with Cole, he will let you know when he’s had enough or else its bloody murder.

So Many Pictures. So Little Space.

Since returning from Veags, it seems all I have been doing this week/end is catching up and making sure things are back to normal.

A return from my travels always throws me for a loop and it's the laundry that I hate doing most! So, it's back to life, back to reality. Back to the here and now. Back to my boys - which by the way - have sprouted like Jack's bean stalk. Updates and pics will be up on Monday's blog.

Anyway, Vegas was fun. To my suprise it was the NBA All-Star week and I have never seen so many hair pieces, extensions and acrylics nails on the street sidewalk in my life. Think of the Drag-Droppings on Halsted after Market-Days x 10!

I wish I could say, what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas, but - for me - it was pretty low key and there is nothing too exciting to report.

In a nutshell, here are few tid bits about my 7 day trip.
*Mark and I stayed at the Ventian, but I liked the Wynn the most even though we never really ever made it to the south or north end of the strip.
*I did have some great dinners at Diego, Shibuya and Red 8.
*Managed to win front row tickets to "Blue Man Group" on my flight in to Vegas as I managed to guess the weight of the plane.
*Was most excited to see "O," but because of a mistake in our reservation, 2, instead of 3, tickets were booked.
*KA was just okay.
*The bunnies at the NBA Crown Royal Party in the Playboy Club were so HOT, I began to question my own sexuality.
*Shopping in Vegas was awesome!

Wow seven days with the kids? Man oh man Im jealous..You guys deserve it!!!Fen is great..took his first step yesterday..I think I need another one of this kids sometime soon :) btw- really HOT girls...

You should donate it to one of those churches on the south side, it would be a nice change, they usually have those wooden crosses, this would add a little pizzazz to the whole Jesus ttrriipp!!!!

Because you seem to have to much time on your hands. Are you one of those people that fills the void with busy work in order to avoid society? When was the last time you went out and smelled the stink blossoms.
