Silver Spoons
I have never liked baby spoons. Yes, they are colorful and cute and some even let you know when your food is too hot, but they are useless when it comes to effectively feeding these ever growing boys! Why? Because little spoons, mean little food in a not so quite little mouth. I swear, no sooner has the gulp of food gown down, and I am already hearing a clamor for the next spoonful. Besides, if you really think about it, more food on a spoon increases the chance of getting food in the mouth and decreases your feeding time by half. Basically, when it comes to feeding, I am there to do business and not play. It’s not that I don’t want to have fun during meals; I just don’t want to spend my time convincing these kids to take gulp after gulp after gulp and later cleaning up the mess. Yeah, kids wanna touch everything!
Mean, aren’t I?
So, my solution was simple. Use regular spoons! One, they’re shiny. Two, we (adults) use them and you know how influential that is…look at remote controls…kids can’t get enough of them, and, three, they get the job done.
I have not thrown out the baby spoons as they have become very useful as of late. Cole and Parker are now starting to teeth and they love to gnaw on the plastic. Which reminds me of another reason why silver spoons are helpful. Have you ever clanked your teeth with a spoon on accident, and it made that sound? Maybe even had some pain, if the bang was hard enough. Well, using silver spoons are helpful in letting you know when you need to stop using them!
It never ends does it???
Now, I’m not saying that my kids were born with a silver spoon in their mouth, but I will say is that they had a good run with them…say…four months.

Equality for All!
Saturday night was BUSY! With the Equality Illinois Gala and a birthday party afterwards, I was surprised I made it home in time to kiss the boys goodnight.
The crawling has begun!! Although it seems to be mostly backwards right now, Cole and Parker now are more determined than ever to get to their destination. Details tomorrow!

You're in Good Hands with Allstate!
Can one have an addiction to blogging?? I am not saying that I need to attend Bloggers Anonymous, but you know that feeling when you miss a couple of laundry dates and then everything you have to wash just piles up on the floor and you’re like “Oh shit, where do I start?” Well, that's somewhat how I feel!
In any case, my birthday is over, I have recovered and the kids are still here and alive. Thursday night was a blast as I was able to party into the wee hours of the morning with family and friends. Now, normally, I would post pictures of my outing, but I somehow managed to do 2 stupid things that evening. First, I managed to leave the memory card at home and second, I lost the camera later in the night. Luckily, it was returned to the owners at mini-bar and I am so forever grateful. Honesty does exist!
Friday, the kids and I had a bit of a field trip as we went to visit Mark at Allstate! Needless to say they were a hit! Pictures provided by courtesy of Allstate property.
