It was back in January when I interviewed this muscled teddy bear and I even got the chance for an encore chit chat at Chicago's Lucky Horseshoe when he was with his then porn star beau, Ethan Kage.
I caught up with Mr. Rush again this week to babble about his latest roles, including the ones he gets to leave his clothes on for, as well as which famous queers he'd lock himself in a house with. *GASP!*
5 Questions with Matthew Rush
(JB)Are you and Ethan Kage still teamed up and taking on the world?
(MR) Ethan is no longer in the film industry so I am flying solo right now.
(JB)Tell me about your scene in "Another Gay Movie".
(MR) "Another Gay Movie" is like a gay "American Pie" with a touch of "Porky's" thrown in. It's about three high school graduates who try to get to "third base" before they go to college. I play the character Ryder who goes out on a date with one of the main characters.
(JB) How does it feel to be a sort of gay pop culture icon?
(MR) To be honest, I don't really see myself as a gay pop culture icon. It still seems all surreal to me. I'm just happy that I have been able to do the things I never thought I'd do. My whole career has been very positive experience. I really hope that by doing mainstream projects with my adult film background can break some of the stereotypes that we are labeled with and that porn isn't really as taboo as it once was.
(JB)If they had a gay "Surreal Life" like the show on VH1 who should be on it?
(MR) Wow, good question! I think Lance Bass should be on the show. I mean come on, we all knew he was gay from the get go. It would have to have Bruce Vilanche because you'll need someone to write the "reality" drama. I’d have Chad Allen because I use to have a crush on him and I got to work with him in "Third Man Out." He's such a sweetheart! Clive Barker just for some added darkness and mystery. Finally Anderson Cooper to report on all the drama!
(JB) What’s in the works for you in porn or in the mainstream arena?
(MR) I will be doing the play "Psycho Beach Party" in Austin for six weeks starting September 21. I also landed the lead role of Bert in "Bert's Big Bed" by Edward Sparan. It will run here in Ft. Lauderdale in December. As far as porn goes, "The Velvet Mafia" will be out sometime this fall. I just finished shooting "Riding Hard" which should be out in December.

"Another Gay Movie" has been extended another week at the Landmark Theatre. Make sure you check out this raunchy ode to gay pop culture icons and teenster gross out comedies.
One of my favorite, favorite blogs fadedyouth.blogspot.com recently exposed the ever bitchy and criticizing Perez Hilton as a cock hungry drug fiend. The celeb goggler and wannabe was cruising on his Manhunt.com profile with one of faded youth's readers using some pretty dated photos. The instigator alleged that Perez(real name Mario) suggested bareback sex and smoking crystal meth.
I may be a little jaded from his aloof rudeness I encountered in LA and his recent no-show for our interview here in Chicago, but then again I've never really cared for him. It would have been nice to ask him about the Lance incident though.
For my own little curiousity I decided I'd do a little homework, create a thrown together Manhunt profile and look up his profile "Toptastic". Behold his last login: today. The gaunt face pics have now been set to private, all that remains is a still century old body shot.
I even found his cock pics on a few blogs, how embaressing.

(Q) To start off Mr. Brown, we all want to know what it was like to star in All World's "World Splash Orgy competition" ? I heard there were 30 men at your disposal, yikes!
(KB) It was crazy I had a great time shooting that and it was 30 models everyone was wonderful I have to say I never seen so many cocks at one time in my life, haha.
(Q) How do you view yourself?
(KB) I think I'm an average guy, down to earth, and very open minded. I love to make people smile. My life long goal is to just be happy that's it.
(Q) What did you want to be when you grew up?
(KB) Well I really never knew. At one point a Lawyer, but I was a kid then. I just stopped thinking so much after that and I live day for day now.
(Q) What would we as spectators be surprised to hear about life as a porn star?
(KB) It's not easy filming at all, personally knowing some of the models makes it easier.
(Q) Sexiest encounter on or off film?
(KB) I would have to say Johnny Hazard. What a hunk!
(Q) Ok Kevin, time to make you sweat, haha. There originally was some controversy with uber porn agent, David Forest and you. Did you ever plan on leaving porn?
(KB) No I never thought about leaving I just didn’t want him as my agent. Nice guy just wasn't for me.
(Q) Does controversy tend to follow the stars of the porn industry?
(KB) I think so its all apart of being famous, which I don’t consider myself famous, just known.
(Q) What can we look forward to you being in?
(KB) Well, I just got done shooting a film for Falcon called From Top to Bottom and that was a great project. I have a good time shooting all my movies everyone is always nice and of course it's always fun to work with other models.
