I'm so fucking indie, I can't even title this.
Today was a much-awaited day off of work. Hurray for a little break from serving meats and cheese and salads to total strangers. I woke up, got dressed and ready, and went out to lunch with my godmother. We went to Hullihans or something like that. Good stuff. Took the dog for a walk, went tattoo shop hunting, and then met up with my older sister at Yorktown mall. Shopped my ass off, and got out of it with two shirts. Ah, Forever21. Good stuff.
Ever since I got home, I've been flipping through the personal pages here, kind of wondering if anyone like, pays attention to them? What's a girl got to do to get a date around here?
Whatever, other point of the post? Review on this awesome movie I watched the other night, can't seem to get it out of my head. This movie is called 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days. It's a Romanian film, set in 1985 during the communist years, when Romanian women had little choice in abortion rights. The plot revolves around two girls who are college room mates. One is quite pregnant, looking to get an abortion done by a 'black-market' physician, and the other is trying to help her succeed with this plan. The movie is very stark, and blunt about the message. It's not neccessarily anti-abortion, it just shows the consequences of what such a decision MEANS to a woman. That's what I really loved about it; it didn't shove one viewpoint or another down the watcher's throats. It was very even-keel. Good stuff. Gotta love them foreign films.
Anyways, I'm tired. I'm really, REALLY going to try to get through another chapter of the Wraeththu histories. It's good, I just need to keep interest for more than a second...
