"I don't know much about clothes..."
"...But my hair looks fierce!" Amanda Lepore sings in club-like aria with a rap cameo by Cazwell. It's a fun song.

And now the former NYC club-kid turned transexual model and tauted muse to clothiers Travar Rains and Richie Rich of Heatherette is doing it for herself on her retail Web site: EverythingAmanda.com

There you'll find tank tops, Ts, Lepore CDs and even autographed photos of Lepore, perfect for the collagen lip-lover and big boob enthusiast.

Personally, I'm a fan of Lepore's press photos: Colorful with a high-class/glamorous depiction with just a hint of moral disaffection. Tragically chic and gorgeous.

Sosa-Kibby to the Max!
I've had the pleasure of being in the professional and familiar acquaintance with partners Erik Sosa and Mark Kibby for the better part of three years. Just under a year ago, they adopted their sons, Parker and Cole, and ChicagoPride.com has also had the honor to watch them grow over the last several months through Sosa's blog on this Web site.

Meeting the baby boys for the first time in person this past weekend (twice, both Saturday and Sunday) felt like meeting up with family and old friends. I could tell them apart by name and even recognized their hats from the stories and photographs Sosa shares on his blog. I got to hold both of the boys, I smothered them with kisses and hugs, and Cole even hugged me back. Sosa, the always-working mama, was glad to pass him off to me for a few moments of rest and Cole seemed grateful for a new shoulder to rest his head! LOL.

I was so much in love with the boys that I asked to have my picture taken with them. Sosa, who actually had a camera on him ever ready to capture any memorable moments the boys may inadvertantly cause, was happy to oblige!

Thanks for the pic Erik; I looooooves it. And though you will be missed when you and your family move at the end of the summer, I am nevertheless beaming with joy and happiness for you and yours!

Wishing you, and all those beautiful families out there, all the best from ChicagoPride.com!

Drink Up!
Their slogan says something about "old World" and "New World"--I don't know--but In Fine Spirits hosts a special FREE wine tasting tonight, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at their Clark Street location with winemaker Greg Grazino pouring his own wines.

Too short of notice? No worries. Swing by the wine shoppe, Saturday, June 30, from 3:00-6:00 p.m., for a regularly scheduled tasting, sans the winemaker but with all the red, white and varietals you can sip and spit.

And if that weren't enough, playing off the same semi-pun I just made, In Fine Spirits host their annual "Red, White and Brew" tasting on Tuesday, July 3, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Sommeliers, aficionados and boozers can swig 'til their heart's content at In Fine Spirits at 5418 N Clark St. in Andersonville.

My Future's So Bright
There was no way I was going to drop $250+ on a new pair of Chrisitan Dior sunglasses today. Absolutely no way. It was just too frivolous an expense, especially at the end of the month. So what if they are super Terminator 2-fierce, collapse into a cute clam-looking carrying case and I look really hot and bad ass in them, there is just no rationale to justify the cost when my pair of tired, played-out, three-year-old Armani slender frames work just fine--I guess.

But then again, this weekend is Jesse Archer's birthday. And well, he's such a talented writer and brilliant personality, whom, if everything works out, I will be interviewing in NYC in just over a month. His book You Can Run is a brilliant piece of literature transcending memoir and travel writing conventions, and I can't wait to see his lead role in the indie flick, A Four Letter Word, the follow-up from his character playing in Slutty Summer that preceded his cameo in Boy Culture and his Details Magazine "Gay or Bachelor" photo spread (P.S., he's gay!). So he really deserves to have a nice gift, purchased for me, in his honor. Hey, you only turn 33 once.

So, Happy Birthday Jesse Archer! The glasses I bought for me look great.

See Jesse Archer online at www.jesseonthebrink.com. You Can Run is in bookstores now (I think).

you are gorgeous
xpan, you are too sweet! As Jesse Archer said to me as I doted all over him and his book: "You flatter and I blush."

But trust, it's all smoke and mirrors with me!
