Facebook! It changed. So what are you gonna do about it baby?
Last week the Sears Tower became the Willis Tower, Feast of Fools changed it's name to Feast of Fun and everybody's favorite social network overhauled it's user interface. Is the sky falling or are we now soaring into the stars?
Come on people, don't freak out. The last election was all about change but is this the kind of change that people want?
On today's show we have Dave Awl- Chicago based writer, performer and Facebook aficionado, well known for his easy to understand books on technoogy.
He's got a new tell-all book - Facebook Me- A Guide to Having Fun with Your Friends and Promoting Your Projects on Facebook.
Listen as we talk with Dave Awl about how to fully utilize the arsenal of tools available to creative people on Facebook and how to avoid some common mistakes in social networking.
Just how do you deal with Interent creeps and how to stop be perceived as one yourself.
Overcoming Facebook Stage Fright by creating a page to make your pet project happen.
Yes, Facebook may still own everything you do, but it's okay and we have some fabulous stories of how social networking changed people's lives forever.
Plus questions from you, the listeners through Facebook.
Dave will be performing out and about in Chicago in the coming months so make sure you join his Facebook Page to get updates and if you like his book join his book page.
You can join the Feast of Fun Facebook Page and Facebook Group and Marc's and Fausto's page.

Today, March 13, 2009, we're thrilled to announce that our site, podcast and videos are undergoing a name change to reflect upcoming programming, design and functionality.
The podcast formerly known as "Feast of Fools: Gay Fun Show" will now be known as "Feast of Fun: Gay Talk Show" or just "Feast of Fun" or just plain FOF. We've always been known by our acronym, FOF, so as you see, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
The name change reflects our plans for expanding our the programming, design and functionality of the site. We're really excited about the new features we're planning on in the coming months and think you'll be pleased as well.
For over 11 years I've been thrilled to host Feast of Fools, from its first night as a drag queen variety show and a rock and roll cabaret to its transformation into the world's most downloaded talk show for a GLBT audience. It's been a wonderful time and we will continue to bring you the best our community has to offer through the daily talk show as well as integrating newer social networking tools into the site.
I've spent years thinking about how a name change would impact us and it just felt right to do it at this time. Since the last election was about change, Marc and I figured why not keep it going? Think of Feast of Fun as the Obamafication of our podcast. Change is good.
Marc and I are deeply humbled by your love, enthusiasm and support over the years and we promise to keep the GAY in the Gay Fun Show indefinitely. Thank you for your contributions, advertising and friendship.
As Chicago's most popular independent podcast (next to the awesome shows put out by NPR), we're thrilled that a program hosted by a gay couple can reach over 50,000 people every week and be a voice to bring about a greater understanding and appreciation to what it means to be gay today.
Keep an eye on us in the coming moths, you're going to see big changes on the site and our social networking sites will change over or migrate to Feast of Fun. Please make a contribution to help offset the costs.
The name "Feast of Fools" was chosen by Fausto to pay tribute to Harry Hay, a gay activist from the 1970s, who felt gays should "embrace a certain frivolity." Hay envisioned a future where people felt free to express themselves fully and honestly, and therefore “act foolishly.”
"Take My Picture Now! Do I look ugly? I demand you destroy all the copies of those photos."
These are the expressions that a lot of photographers endure when taking pictures out at nightclubs or at special events.
For over 15 years, George St. George has photographed Chicago's nightlife and he's seen a lot: the fabulous, the freaky and the ugly.
George goes to a lot of fabulous parties and events and photographs for Chicago Social and Boi Magazine and also for our friends at Chicagopride.com
As glamorous as some of these events may be, there's a dark side to every social scene. On today's show George shares with us his take on gay Chicago's biggest and darkest news stories.
Listen as he talks about his run-ins with Michael L Jackson the gay socialite who killed a cab driver during a crystal meth induced rage, the high profile murder case of real estate mogul Lee Miglan, who was killed by Andrew Cunanan, the same man who killed Versace and his friendship with Screaming Rachael who was cited by columnist Cindy Adams as the mistress to a murdered prince.
The Day of Silence, an effort using silence to protest the actual silencing of LGBT people due to harassment, bias and abuse in school is coming to a high school near you. How are the haters dealing with it? By asking their kids to skip school.

Say hello to the new iPod shuffle, the world's smallest podcast player, which packs 4 gigabytes into a device the size of a piece of gum. How do you play the darn thing and how does it taste?
Strangely enough, the old iPods come with warning signs: "Do Not Eat iPod Shuffle."
Facebook is now available in Arabic and Hebrew. Will it bring peace to the Middle East?
A Chinese woman howls like a wolf to stay healthy. She claims it releases gasses that build up inside her and she can't control their release at all.
The 80s punk band DEVO announces the release of their first album in almost 20 years. Will it it whip it good? Whip it real good?
Today's show is brought to you by you! Your financial contributions make this site and the podcast possible. Thank you. Click here to make a donation.

Pull out your sombreros everybody, on today's show it's a Mexican Fiesta with the fabulously funny Bill Cruz.
Bill recently performed with us at Steamworks, the gay men's bathhouse in Chicago. He was all wrapped up in towels and delivered his monologue like a Roman statesman addressing the Senate. The Senate of Queers that is!
What a great experience we had. Bill can now finally answer the question: what's it like performing practically nude in front of a scantily clad audience?
Like us, Bill's enamored with Dr. Manhattan's massive CGI blue cock. Listen to today's show and count how many blue penis jokes Bill can make.
We've been offered a trip for a Pride event in the Southwest but we're unsure of whether to do it or not or what will be expected from us. My worst fear is that we'll end up as players in The Most Dangerous Game and be running for our lives.
Bernie Madoff, the poster boy for our screwed up economy will probably be spending the rest of his life in prison, how much is that worth?
The man behind the infamous One Guy One Cup Video comes forward to talk about the bloody consequences of shoving a glass jar up his butt.

A chimp at a Swedish zoo calmly collects rocks during the morning so that he has a stockpile of weaponry to throw at visitors when he goes ape shit crazy in the afternoon. Will monkeys rule the Earth? Wait, they already do.
Drew Barrymore's take on the crazy ladies from Grey Gardens
Three cocaine stuffed peppers from South America were sold to three different people in a store in Queens, NY.
And a pet shop shipment goes horribly wrong as a dead body was delivered instead of tropical fish and sea water.
