Crowds SUCK
So I came into the city on Saturday from the burbs to spend some time with my gal pal Regina Upright, take in Market Days, etc. etc. All I can say is crowds SUCK!
I knew it was going to be a mess when I got to the metra station. Not only did I have to deal with regular weekend tourists, I had everyone coming into the city for Market Days AND a home Cubs game. By the time I got to Reginas I wanted to kill anybody that got in my way.
Then it was time to go to Miss Foozies show at Circuit, where Regina was performing. (Sidenote......$6.50 for a vodka 7 is RIDICULOUS! I'll never be going back to Circuit unless I'm in Foozie's show) Trying to get off the el was crazy......all the straighties from the cubs game tried to push into the el while everyone was trying to get off the train. I finally screamed at them....shady str8's!
Then we had to walk down Addison.....I swear it was like taking a stroll with the entire community at Shady Pines. SLOW! I finally told these two girls "let me show you how a real woman walks" and pushed past them.
Foozies show was cute....an interesting mix of performers....cute crowd. I got to hang out with my sisters of the traveling wig. Serena Devine, Kennidi Monroe, Theresa Dawn, Sal-E, Tina Torch, etc. etc. And it made me feel all warm inside knowing that with all the drama that was caused by one queen (who WAS at the show despite all her out of town bookings that weekend) everyone was able to put it aside and just have a good time. At least thats what I hope.
After the show Regina and I went to Hamburger Marys, had some food (TRY the fried mac and cheese....omg i love it!), had some cocktails and then proceeded to Jackhammer and Touche.
I didn't even go to the actual Market Day event.....crowds are just not my thing and to be honest, you seen it once, you've seen it again. Its just not for everyone and I've outgrown it. Plus if I had to deal with those crowds.....someone would have died.
But all in all, it was a fun weekend. I will end this blog with this:
If you're going to pay $6.50 for a vodka 7, it better be the top of the line, we distilled it in our basement 5 minutes ago vodka. MADNESS!

Joke Of The Day
4 guys sitting around having drinks and one of the men
had to use the rest room. The three others talked about
their kids.
The first guy said, 'My son is my pride and joy. He
started working at a company at the bottom. He
studied Business and began to
climb the corporate ladder, became president of the
company. He's so rich; he gave his best friend a top
of the line Mercedes for Christmas
The second guy said, 'Damn, that's terrific! My son is
also my pride and joy. He started working for a big
airline, went to flight school to become a pilot. He
became a partner, where he owns the majority of its
assets. He's so rich that he gave his best friend a
brand new jet as a Christmas gift.'
The third man said: 'Well, that is terrific! My son
studied in the best universities and became an engineer,
started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire.
He also gave an expensive Christmas gift to his best
friend: A 30,000 square foot mansion.'
The three friends congratulate each other just as the
fourth returned from the rest room and asked: 'What
are all the congratulations for?'
One of the three said: 'We're talking about the pride we
feel for the successes of our sons ... What about
your son?'
The fourth man replied: 'My son is gay and makes a
living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.'
The three friends said: 'That's a shame .. what a
disappointment.'
The fourth man replied: 'Nah, I'm not ashamed. He's my
son and I love him. And he hasn't done too badly
either. Just this Christmas alone he received a
beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet
and a top of the line Mercedes from his three
boyfriends.
