JOIN ME AND SWITCH IT UP!
Starting 9/10 at the Victor Hotel!
Also, thanks to Kirk to mentioning me in his weekly nightspots column! That was totally not needed! I still think that photo is pretty hot! Love ya girl!
Ya, that's not going to work to well. They charge too much for drinks and it's a bitch to get there
We will be bringing a whole new vibe to the club! Please come and join! Can't knock it until you try it once! We are bringing Boystown downtown for Wednesday night!
that sounds like fun! that place is really cute!
Is it cute Sammy? Whats the place like?
It depends on the night, but when I've gone, it's been busy and fun. The drinks aren't super pricey, they are just like downtown-esque. You should check it out. I plan on coming for the first one! It'd be fun to have more straight bars that host gay nights
I meant whats the bar like? You said the place was cute...so whats cute about it?

Remebering
As a warning, this is a bit of an emotional blog...
Upon getting back to town last night, I learned that a bar friend of mine has passed away. I didn't know this person very well, but he was a regular at many of my nights, and I remember many of our great interactions and conversations. For those who knew him, he was truly a great guy. For those who didn't, you missed out on someone very special.
For my next person in my list of 30 fabulous people, I thought I would take one entry out to remember someone who might not have a name. Someone who might not be remembered otherwise. Someone who is my neighbor, my bartender, my close friend, my colleague, my enemy, my teacher, my priest, my doctor, my father.
As many of you know, my drag names come from my first boyfriend who took his life when I was only 19 years old. His last name was Parker, and that is how I get my last name in drag. In that spirit, I want to remember, in this entry, all of the gay men and gay women who have died too early, too soon, too tragically, too quickly. Life deals us a strange set of cards. Because of war, AIDS, trauma, strange events, drugs...what have you...I want to remember the gay men and women who left us earlier than planned.
Especially in this time of war, I want to remember all of the gay folks who couldn't be with us as long as they should because they served their people the only way they knew how. I love you, and every member of our community brings something new to the table. Tonight, I reflect upon the many people in my gay life who have left me too soon.
I miss you. All of you.
In memory,
Lady Vera Parker

SPIN NIGHT CLUB PRESENTS....
Sunday 8/17/2008
Thank you, Spin Night Club!
For my next acknowledgment, I'd like to throw a thank you out to one of my favorite bars on the Strip, SPIN NIGHT CLUB!
We are in our fourth month now of our FIERCE FRIDAY show at the club, and it has truly been a wonderful experience! The staff is just superb, Ken is one of the easiest people to work with, and the entire bar is just fabulous!
I could never thank the bar enough for being so fabulous and supportive of me! One thing I know is that no matter what, Spin and I are a great team that are always there for each other, no matter what!
Remember, Spin has a great list of events to see and do every week, including their famous $1.00 drink night on Wednesday!
Check out http://www.spin-nightclub.com/ for more information!!!!!
Also, a shout out to all the queens who have taken my blog as inspiration to blog about their own favorite spots and people in the city! That's what this site is really all about! Great job girls! Keep up the great work!
Thanks Guys!
