A Beautiful Day!

Could yesterday's weather have been more gorgeous? I was lucky enough to be in the city (keeping in mind I live in Downers Grove, which is about 35 miles outside of the city)

I started out my day visiting Erik Sosa and his adorable twins in Uptown. I helped him out with a little project he has going on and showed him a thing or two in PhotoShop. I then proceeded to meet up with my boss at Nightspots, Kirk, and chit-chat with him for a bit at the Windy City Media Group office.

Then it was down to Boystown to walk around and enjoy the weather with Ricardo. I was his personal paparazzi for the day. I think I shot around 200 photos of him. I was telling him that I could never be a film photographer because I would waste too many prints. :) We had dinner at Kanok (I think that's what it was called) It's a cool little Asian restaurant on Broadway. I had my first cup of Miso Soup, which was delicious. Tofu is not bad at all!

Then it was off to Charlie's for "It's Just Bingo, Bitch" hosted by Frida Lay and Lauren Jacobs.

Yes, you are . . . to restate my crude remark . . . I teach on camera flash and half way through the course, those with Rebel's become disenchanted with their cameras. Canon has done a super job of marketing this model which has many limitations . . . which is why I go crazy when someone recommends the Rebel. BTW, that's an awesome picture of Ricardo . . .

You've outed Ricardo. I never connected him with Frida. I always just peeped at Ricardo from a distance at Charlie's. HOTTIE. (No I'm not a stalker...hehe)

Well, if you have ever talked to Ricardo and Frida, it would only take you one second to realize they are one in the same because of the nice thick strong latin accent which is sooooo hot!

Dah, my last comment here . . . I photographed and knew Frida for 1-2 years . . . before I bumped into this hunk of a guy sexually leaning against a bar @ Crobar-Gleeclub . . . it was early on in the evening so neither of us were looped . . . I said, "OMG, I need to capture your essence" to which he replied, "You did a few days ago @ Charlie's." It totally blew me away, his/her voice does not belie the person/persona not one bit . . . they are a distinct and seperate entity . . . which really is a compliment to Ricardo & Frida . . . keep it up sweeties . . . That was SO not your last comment, Frank! And what I meant to say was after hanging out with Ricardo for quite some time, you can see how very similar he and Frida are. But yes, I agree with you when you say that they are their own individual "entities". Both are FUCKING AWESOME!!! the end

Wasted Wednesday!

So I went out with the Wasted Wednesday crew last night for a night of drunken hilarity. If you don't know who the Wasted Wednesday crew is, you really should learn!

I believe it started over a year ago with Bradley and Brendan creating the wacky t-shirts as a surprise for Ricardo and Ben (or something like that; I was drunk when Bradley told me the story). And every goddam Wednesday since, those bitches have been out and about. They start at Roscoe's around midnight, then head over to Spin until that closes down and then end up at Charlie's until THAT closes down.

I'm still just an "intern" with the group and have not received my official t-shirt, but I only have 2 more weeks until I do!! Let's hope I can handle it.
