Pride Recap
Overall, I have to say that this year's pride kinda sucked. Don't get me wrong, I had a TON of fun and got some great photos (which can be seen on my website below or on ChicagoPride.com's photo page).
I was on Maneuvers' float, number 159. I got to the float around 11:00am. The weather was beautiful once I arrived. THREE AND A HALF HOURS LATER we finally started moving. Yes, you heard me right, our float did not get going until 2:30! And by that time it was raining cats and dogs. I was soaked, cold and my feet were killing me. But I have to admit, once it got going, I was on cloud 9. If you have never been on a float for pride, I highly suggest it. You get to see THOUSANDS of people and get your photo taken HUNDREDS of times. Plus, there is always that ONE guy you lock eyes with and smile at and stare at each other as your float goes by and then you look back after you pass him and he's still looking at you. Totally makes it worth while! :)
