Lovehurts
I'm currently with the person I've been wanting for years. We're best friends and everything. Being with this person isn't what I expected. I love this person but the relationship is just not where I think it should be. He's so nonchalant about everything and is extremely selfish. Other guys want his position. He's a true gentleman and now adays you just don't get that from a guy. Chivary is his middle name. I don't know what to do. He wants to get married but I want things to change before I say I do. I'm tempted to be with other guys but other guys are not like him. Hes my first love so it's kind of hard to just walk away. What should I do?

Gosh, what an amazing situation. I don't think many people have the opportunity to be romantically involved with the people they've pined over for years at a time. However, as with all things, fantasy can be better than reality at times. "What should you do?" I think you've already answered that question. Follow your heart and be true to yourself. It sounds to me that you are questioning whether he's Mr. Right or not. Maybe the question you should really ask is "is he the best one for you?" I think you may know the answer.

I think Mr. Right doesn't exist but the best man there is around the corner waiting for you.
