New- So What- Pink!
"I guess i just lost my husband//I don't know where he went//So i'm gonna drink my money//I'm not gonna pay his rent (Nope)//I got a brand new attitude
And I'm gonna wear it tonight//I wanna get in trouble//I wanna start a fight."
Looks like someone has the -when life gives you lemons, make lemonade - attitude!
LOVE the new Pink song! Already learning the words!

How does this look?
Our dear friends Wendy and Reena gave us some beautiful vases and this is what I put in them. What do you think?

With independence comes great responsibility.
However, perhaps the greatest responsibility of all is to maintain that freedom.
Right? Right!
Last week, as I was I in the kitchen, I heard a great thump coming from up above, and since the boys were in their cribs I though one of them had thrown a toy out onto the floor. And since I heard no crying, I thought nothing of it and went back to whatever I was working on.
Ten minutes later I heard some clanking and didn’t think much of it until the noise got louder and louder! Concerned, I dash upstairs only to find Cole clanging two plastic bin covers that he had muscled loose. Empty bins and clothes were everywhere. Oh, and that grin on his face, priceless. Luckily, for all involved, a broken knob was the extent of my problems.
Cole had jumped out of his crib!
It’s odd when situations like these happen because one starts to second guess themselves. Like, did I not put him in his crib? He couldn’t have jumped out? Could he? But Cole had finally escaped from his cell, and there were signs that it would eventually happen, like when he would high kick and rest one of his legs at the lip of the bed.
So, in order to prevent an unecessary trip to the emergency room, Mark converted their cribs into toddler beds this past weekend. Although Cole seems to fall more out his bed, as he peers over the shorter rail, his sense of liberty seems to outweigh anything else. Cole and Parker have now been unleashed into a new world full of freedom and independence. A milestone has been reached.
Because our boys are no longer babies, but toddlers, I no longer restrain them to a specific room with a gate greeting them at the door. Cole and Parker, to some extent, now have free reign to move about the house, going from their play room to the bathroom or their bedroom as long as they don't run about or take toys out. And, to be honest, this whole transition has been somewhat effortless.
Sorry John, unlike Fen, our boys slept well and didn't build a wall with thier stuffed animals! Aside from Cole falling asleep a bit late, it seems it was only due to the fact that Parker, taking advantage of the changes around him, wanted to sleep in Cole's bed.
This morning, I found Parker and Cole talking and playing on Cole's bed. Adorable!
Next stepping stone: to get these boys to use the bathroom on their own so I can declare this house diaper free!!!! And believe you me me, that will be a huge celebration!!!
