Dear Loved Ones,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health and great spirits.  As 2010 draws to a close, we have much to be thankful for; especially in a year when things are still tight for many around the world.  As we give thanks for our blessings and to family and friends during the holiday season, we also look forward to celebrating and welcoming the New Year with optimism and resolution.  2010 has been, thus far, a very memorable year for the Sosa-Kibby family.

 After being acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mark, (after much thought and deliberation) made a bold move and left his long love affair with Diamond Consultants this November and accepted a new principal position with Booz & Company.  Since 2009, Mark has been on a mission to rebrand his already well-respected image.  With his golf swing improving every summer, returning to gym and having lost 30 lbs., I would say Mark is definitely on the right course to polishing those edges and making that penny shine once again!  Did I mention that penny looks damn good in glasses too?

To my dismay Cole and Parker are no longer toddlers, but little boys who remind me very much of Pinocchio in the sense that they want to be and do “big boy” things.  Unfortunately for them, I am there to help guide and steer their mischievous and manipulative ways from getting into trouble or hurt for that matter.  Unfortunately for me, they continue to rob me of my youth and thunder!

At four and a half, Cole and Parker may be two peas in a pod, but they are most certainly not from the same strain. Cool, calm and collected Parker is very much his Daddy, while razzmatazz, spaz Cole is much like his Papa.  Although the boys loved and learned many skills in Tae Kwon do, gymnastics seems to be a better fit, especially for Cole’s hyper active personality.   As ring bearers at their cousin’s Julie’s wedding, the celebration opened with crowd pleasing high kicks, cartwheels, and summersaults.  In appreciation for their good manners and behavior, we finally buckled in, and treated the boys to Chuck E. Cheeses, where I had promised to take them once they were “big”enough.

Mark and I are so very proud of our boys and could not imagine our lives without them. We can only hope that they continue to flourish in the loving environment that we have tried so hard to create for them and their friends.  Parker, who just had his tonsils and adenoids removed, is very smart and talented as he can legibly write his name and do his self-portrait. Cole is very imaginative and loving, as he is always quick to remind us after a sequence of power ranger moves and “Hi-Yah!” that he just saved us from the evil that lurks around.  We have never felt safer!

As for me, I continue to paint and donate my time to wherever it may be needed.  As you may or may not know, facebook is my guilty pleasure and platform so, I’ll keep it short. 2010 was very good to me and my family and have no complaints.  I can only pray that 2011 is just as wonderful – without the braces of course!
