Lake Geneva
Last weekend was at Lake Geneva. It was warm, sunny, and the water was not too cold. I big group of us went there and it was suppose to be a FINC after party kinda thing...Mann the views are fantastic!
A guy, who's a friend of a friend, came with his baby. 7 months of cuteness. She was so adorable. And then, the owner's sister's daughter was this Filipina-Polish 7 year old who is so beautiful. I mean sooooo beautiful. Mestizas are always so cute! I told the mom, when she showed me studio photos of her daughter, to bring her daughter to the PI so she could get discovered. I've never seen such a photogenic kid.
The experience was great. And leave it to the gays to socialize and pick up straight boys in downtown Lake Geneva to come back home with us for some drinks. PG-13 of course.

Persepolis
I just saw this really wonderful animation called Persepolis. It was mostly in black and white but I've never seen such nicely rendered images that even without the color, the film looked so great. It wasn't boring as I would usually expect in a black and white animation. The storyline was good but it ended way too soon.

The pain that cries within my heart
Lying on my bed, looking at the ceiling, thinking what it must be. I listen to the sounds outside near my corner windows and there is nothing but the bus passing through. I close me eyes, raise my hand and place it on my chest. And there it is the beat the makes the lightest sound. And it was the sound of loneliness.
The lightest sound my heart makes for every fraction of a second echoes so much throughout my body. My eyes which reveals the very soul of my heart could do nothing but look so empty. There is not a single tear to be shed and there is not a single minute to be slept. And yet I find myself at a stop staring nowhere, in daze, while my surroundings move on to leave me behind.
The sadness runs through my veins but my body could not cry. There is no reason to cry nor a tired body to release the pain. The pain is tightly locked deep inside my heart that not even my mind could release. It is just there. It is difficult to comprehend.
In my mind I look at myself and analyze. My best and my worse are placed on a balancing scale. But the scale keeps moving swinging up and down and there is not one thing I could do to stop it. It only makes the beats stronger and unbearable but still no tears are in sight. So I close my eyes, my hands, my mouth, and pressed in my body as if to yell back at my heart to stop it. And then it ends, but the memory of the experience stays within the back of my mind. Still I could not comprehend.

Our float won!!!
I just got a text from one of my friends that our float, The Filipinos and Friends in Chicago, won the best organization float tied with Lakeview Chamber of Commerce. I'd still yet to verify this but I am so happy all our efforts has given us more than we expected.
I had such a great time and my feet were killing me at the end of the parade. We practically danced on every major intersection within the route.
